Since 1972, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) has been the area’s aging information and service center.  SCES helps older people and people living with disabilities remain safe and independent in their own homes by providing a wide range of supportive services, as well as information and advice.

Join the Somerville Cambridge Elder Services Advocacy Network and help to let your elected officials know how important programs for the elderly, disabled, and caregivers are.  Your involvement is crucial!

If you are interested in issues affecting elders, you can help by joining the Advocacy Network.  The Advocacy Network is part of the Somerville Cambridge Aging Network (SCAN).  SCAN is a coalition of community organizations and individuals concerned with advocating on the local, state, and national levels for the improvement of the economic, physical, social and health status of older people.

If you would like more information about SCAN, call Mary Ann Dalton at 617-628-2601, extension 3201 or e-mail m_dalton@eldercare.org.
